VONNETTA BENJAMIN, LOGISTICS CHAIR

Vonnetta Leatrice Benjamin volunteered for the inaugural Battle for the Brain event in 2017 and joined the Planning Committee for the Second Annual Battle for the Brain event and served as the Chair of the Logistics Committee.  Vonnetta is excited to be serving as the Co-chair of the Logistics Committee for the Third Annual Battle for the Brain event and watching this event continue to grow in various ways and raise funds to support the invaluable medical research related to Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.

Vonnetta lost her grandfather to Alzheimer’s disease in December 2009.  Watching her grandfather battle the disease developed a passion in her to focus on caregivers and educating the community about the disease.  Through Daughters Against Alzheimer’s and the Battle for the Brain event, Vonnetta is grateful to have the opportunity to spread hope as more people become aware of the various research and clinical studies that is expected to result in more effective treatments and ultimately a cure for Alzheimer’s.

In her professional life, Vonnetta is an attorney with a transatlantic law firm.  Personally, Vonnetta enjoys spending time with her family, exercising, and playing tennis.
